We offer a variety of landscape and recreation surfaces made from clean, safe and carefully evaluated ingredients. We use recovered materials where we can do so safely and test our products to ensure they are suited for their intended purpose. Playground
- WoodCarpet – Our engineered wood fiber for playgrounds is all natural and made from renewable materials. From most of our production facilities, we use at least 90% pre-consumer recovered materials. WoodCarpet is extracted, processed and manufactured regionally across the continental United States and most of Canada. We do not use threatened wood species. After its useful life, WoodCarpet can be reused as compost or landscape mulch.
- Tuffmats – Our wear mats for play areas reduce maintenance by eliminating the need to rake WoodCarpet back under swings and slide exits. They are made with approximately 10% pre-consumer recovered materials.
Landscape
- Natural Mulch – This is our natural mulch and it helps prevent soil erosion, insulates the soil from temperature extremes resulting in less stress to the nearby plants, and it also conserves soil moisture. It is made from at least 90% pre-consumer recovered plant materials.
- Planting Mulch – This is our planting mulch and it offers more plant available nitrogen, helps prevent soil erosion, insulates the soil from temperature extremes resulting in less stress to the nearby plants, it conserves soil moisture and it improves the soil structure. It can be used to increase soil organic matter and is made from at least 90% pre-consumer recovered plant materials.
- Colored Mulch – This mulch is made from all natural ingredients that are non-toxic to plants and animals. It limits weed growth more effectively and helps to maintain soil moisture. It can help to insulate and improve soil structure although the natural and planting mulches are more effective at this. It is made from approximately 20% pre-consumer and 40% post-consumer recovered materials.
- Erosion Control – We offer all natural mulch blends to fill filter socks for storm water management and erosion control. These blends are made from recovered materials.
Animal
- WoodCarpet – Equine Footing – Our engineered wood fiber for equine footing is all natural and made from renewable materials. From most of our production facilities, we use at least 90% pre-consumer recovered materials. HorseCarpet is extracted, processed and manufactured regionally across the continental United States and most of Canada. We do not use threatened wood species. After its useful life, HorseCarpet can be reused as compost or landscape mulch.
